현대 중국의 한국종교: 또 다른 한류의 가능성 탐색

This study aims at analyzing the activities and the characteristics of Korean religions entered in China and understanding the correlation between the religion and culture (or society). For this, 4 researchers (including research director) did the collaborative study on the topography of every religion in China and its policy with literature, field survey, oral history research, comparative research etc. Moreover, they figured out the present condition of Korean religions entered in China with their own individual studies by dividing area.
At first year, they studied the religious situation in Three Northeastern Provinces, Korean-Chinese densely populated area and its most believed Korean religions.
1st person did his research on the subject of ‘Korean Religions in Contemporary China.’ He concretely overviewed the religious situation in contemporary China and its government policy. He also considered the Korean-Chinese situation and the topography of religion in Three Northeastern Provinces. In addition, he generally discussed on the situation and problem how the overseas expanded Korean religions and their mission among Korean-Chinese in Three Northeastern Provinces.
2nd person did his research on the subject of ‘policy on religion of Jilin Province in China after the Reform & Opening-Up.’ He concretely reviewed Chinese Central People's Government’s policy on religion and how the administration for religious affairs reflected in Jilin Province Government and others. Moreover, it was discussed on the religious situation in Jilin Province and the Korean religions and their entry ways.
3rd person did his research on the subject of ‘Korean Religions in Heilongjiang, China.’ He concretely described the entry process and the development of Korean religions in Heilongjiang historically. Moreover, he considered the religious situation of Korean-Chinese living in Heilongjiang Province and the activities aspect of Korean religions.
4th person did his research on the subject of ‘The Situation of Korean Religions in Liaoning Province, China. He concretely reviewed the topography of religion in Liaoning Province and the Korean-Chinese religious situation. Additionally, he discussed the characteristics and problems on the activities aspect of Korean religions entered in Liaoning Province.
At 2nd year, they researched Beijing province, Korean most densely populated area, Qingdao·Yantai·Weihai and Shanghai Province in the regions of Hua Bei and Hua Zhong and overviewed the Korean religions in China.
1st person considered on the ‘Korean religions in contemporary China,’ which reflects on overall results during the 1st and 2nd year.
2nd person considered the situation of Korean religions in Shanghai and religious life and its problems of Korean residents, on the subject of ‘Korean Residents in Shanghai, China.’ Moreover, he described the future of Korean religion on the basis of these.
3rd person reviewed the entry process and the development of Korean religions in Shandong Province on the subject of ‘Korean religions in Shandong Province, China. In addition, he considered the current religious situation in Shandong Province and the characteristics on the activities aspect of Korean religions.
4th person overviewed the policy on religion in Beijing and its religious situation on the subject of ‘The Situation of Korean Religion and its Task in Beijing, China.’ Moreover, he discussed the problems on the activities aspect of Korean religions entered in Beijing and its future task.
3 papers among them during 2nd year was already submitted to the candidate journal, currently finished review and scheduled to be published or being under examination. The study results are going to be published in book form at Institute for Culture and Religion, The Academy of Korean Studies.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목표는 중국에 진출한 한국종교의 활동양상과 그 특징을 분석하고, 나아가 종교와 문화·사회의 상관관계를 이해하는 것이었다. 이에 따라 연구책임자를 포함한 연구원 4명은 문헌조사방법, 현지조사방법, 구술사연구방법, 비교연구방법 등을 활용하여 중국 종교 전체의 종교지형과 종교정책에 관한 공동연구를 진행하면서, 동시에 담당지역을 선정하여 개별적 연구를 수행하여 각 지역에 진출한 한국종교의 현황과 특징을 밝혔다.
제1차년도에는 조선족이 집중적으로 거주하고 있는 동북삼성의 종교현황과 그 지역에서 활동하고 있는 한국종교를 연구하였다. 제1연구자는 ‘현대 중국의 한국종교(종교연구 제54집, 2009.3.15)’에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 구체적으로, 현대 중국의 전반적인 종교상황과 종교정책을 살펴보고, 동북삼성에 거주하는 조선족의 현황과 종교지형을 고찰하였다. 이어 동북삼성에 진출한 한국종교들이 조선족과 그 지역에 거주하고 있는 한인들 사이에서 어떻게 선교활동을 전개하고 있는지에 관한 현황과 문제점을 개괄적으로 논의하였다.
제2연구자는 ‘개혁개방 이후 중국 길림성의 종교 정책과 한국 종교(중국학논총 제25집, 2009.4.30)’에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 구체적으로, 중국 중앙인민정부의 종교 정책과 종무행정이 길림성정부와 하위 지방인민정부에 어떻게 반영되고 있는지를 검토하고, 길림성의 종교 현황과 길림성에서 활동하는 한국종교의 현황과 그 진출방식을 논의하였다.
제3연구자는 ‘중국 흑룡강성의 한국 종교(종교문화비평 17호, 2010.3.)’에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 구체적으로, 한국종교가 흑룡강성에 전래되는 과정과 전개양상을 역사적으로 검토하고, 현재 흑룡강성에서 거주하는 조선족의 종교현황과 한국종교의 활동양상을 고찰하였다.
제4연구자는 ‘중국 요녕성 한국종교의 현황과 문제(아시아문화연구 17집, 2009.11.30.)’에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 구체적으로, 요녕성의 종교지형 및 조선족의 종교현황을 살펴보고, 요녕성에 진출한 한국종교들의 활동양상에 나타난 특징과 문제점에 대해 논의하였다.
제2차년도에는 한인이 거주하고 있는 화북⋅화중 지역 가운데, 한인이 집중적으로 거주하고 있는 북경지역, 청도·위해·연태 지역, 상해 지역의 한국종교를 연구하고, 중국의 한국종교 전체를 조망하였다. 제1연구자는 제1차년도와 제 2차년도를 총체적으로 조망해보는 ‘현대중국의 한국종교’에 대해 고찰하였다.
제2연구자는 ‘중국 상해의 교민과 한국종교’라는 제목 하에, 상해시의 한국종교현황과 교민들의 종교생활과 문제를 고찰하고, 이를 토대로 한국종교의 미래를 전망하였다. 제3연구자는 ‘중국 산동성의 한국종교’라는 제목 하에, 한국종교가 산동성에 전래되는 과정과 전개양상을 역사적으로 검토하고, 현재 산동성의 종교현황과 한국종교의 활동양상의 특징을 고찰하였다. 제4연구자는 ‘중국 북경의 한국종교현황과 과제’라는 제목 하에, 북경의 종교정책과 종교현황을 살펴보고, 북경에 진출한 한국종교들의 활동양상에 나타난 문제와 앞으로의 과제에 대해 논의하였다.
제2차년도의 논문 가운데 3편은 등재(후보)학술지에 투고하여, 현재 심사가 완료되어 게재가 예정되어있거나 심사 중에 있다. 각 연구 성과들은 향후 한국학중앙연구원 문화와 종교연구소에서 단행본으로 발간할 예정이다.
