We studied how the firm’s security elements affect the security-incident response competence. The purpose of this study is to empirically demonstrate the security-incident response capabilities and the interaction of administrative security factors within physical and technical security as using Socio-Technical approach. It is assumed that the security organization of firms affects the security-incident response competence.
The result of research shows that the Administrative security gives a impact upon the relationship of the physical and technical security with the incident response competence. Furthermore, it was revealed that the difference in the security-incident response competence was according to the firm’s security organization. We proved that it has a positive impact on the security-incident response capabilities as companies invest in administrative security.
