예비 유아교사의 양성평등의식 및 자아존중감각에 관한 연구 = A study of pre-service early childhood teachers' gender equality consciousness and their self-esteem

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 하위요인별, 학년별, 양성평등의식 관련 과목 수강여부에 따라 예비 유아교사가 갖고 있는 양성평등의식과 자아존중감의 수준은 어떠하며, 이들 간의 상관관계가 있는지를 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 경기도에 소재한 3년제 대학 유아교육과에 재학 중인 1학년부터 3학년 학생 427명을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 예비 유아교사의 양성평등의식 및 자아존중감을 측정하기 위해 설문지를 사용하여 통계 처리하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 예비 유아교사의 양성평등의식은 비교적 높게 나타났고, 학년과 양성평등의식 관련 과목 수강여부에 따른 차이는 양성평등의식과 하위요소별 모두 통계적으로 유의미하지 않았다. 둘째, 예비 유아교사의 자아존중감은 보통 이상의 수준으로, 3학년이 1, 2학년에 비해 높은 점수로 집단 간 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 그러나 양성평등의식 관련 과목 수강여부에 따른 차이는 일반적인 자아개념의 한 가지 하위요소를 제외하고는 유의미한 차이가 없는 것으로 드러났다. 셋째, 예비 유아교사의 양성평등의식과 자아존중감의 관계는 통계적으로 매우 높은 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to ascertain the levels of gender equality consciousness and self-esteem held by pre-service early childhood teachers and to investigate any correlations between the two. Subjects were 427 pre-service early childhood teachers in their 1st, 2nd and 3rd years at colleges located in Gyeonggi province. To measure the subjects'gender equality consciousness and self-esteem their responses on questionnaires were statistically analyzed. The results of the analyses reveal firstly that gender equality consciousness was relatively high and that general high level was not statistically significantly related to year or schooling or to whether of not the students had taken a course dealing with gender equality consciousness. Secondly, all the subjects' self-esteem scores were above average though 3rd year students had statistically meaningful higher scorns than did first and second year students. And it must be noted here that having taken the course on gender equality had a statistically meaningful significance on general self-confidence. Thirdly, there were statistically positive correlations between pre-service early childhood teachers' gender equality consciousness and their self-esteem.
