The purpose of this study was to identify the relation of motivation and satisfaction in sports activity participant by sports population. Attempts were made to find the difference of motivation and satisfaction by vital statistics. For this study, the questionnaire research of 500 people from commercial sports centers located in Seoul as of May, 2006. It was used the one way ANOVA to analyze motivation of participant and satisfaction of sports activity.
As a result, the following findings were obtained:
1. It was found that there was a significant difference in motivation of sports activity included gender, proficiency, job, and birthplace, however, was not a significant difference in factors such as age, income. In the light of the results, the order of income could be interpreted as higher motivation of participation than the younger in sports activity participant.
2. There was a significant difference in satisfaction of sports activity participation factors such as proficiency, job, income but that there was no a significant difference in factors such as gender, age, birthplace. In conclusion, it was suggest that the satisfaction of participation in sports activity was higher as higher proficiency, higher income, and a special occupation.
