The flow visualization was conducted to reveal the reason of the trajectory difference between spinning and non-spinning soccer ball. In this work, the smoke-wire visualization and smoke-tube method were applied to the flow around the real soccer ball installed in the test section of the wind tunnel. In conclusion, the spinning ball proceeds in a certain direction depending on the rotating direction by the Magnus effect. And, the proceeding trajectory of non-spinning ball becomes irregular because of the Kelvin-Helmholtz instability, periodic vortex shedding under a certain condition.
