노인의 배우자 사별에 대한 통합적 고찰 = A Comprehensive Review of Spousal Bereavement of Elderly : Based on 2010-2020 Research Trends

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구목적 :
국외 및 국내에서 진행된 배우자 사별 후 노인의 정서적 반응과 적응에 관한 연구 현황을 분석하고 향후 방향을 제시하고자 하였다.
방 법 :
2010년 1월부터 2020년 8월까지 진행된 국외 및 국내 학술지에 등재된 노인 배우자 사별 연구를 선정하고 체계적 문헌 고찰을 하였다.
결 과 :
국외 논문 15편, 국내 논문 10편을 연구에 포함하여 분석하였다. 연구 형태는 양적 연구 형태가 가장 많았으며 질적 연구 및 양적-질적 통합연구도 존재하였다. 국외 및 국내 논문 모두 대상자로 여성이 남성보다 많이 포함되는 경향을 보였다. 사별 노인의 정서적인 영향을 분석한 연구가 가장 많았으나 사별 후 노인들의 다양한 사회적 삶과 적응의 문제도 연구에서 확인되었다.
결 론 :
향후의 노인 사별 연구에는 사별 노인 남성에 대한 연구가 추가로 필요하며, 양적 연구와 질적 연구를 통합하려는 시도가 필요할 것으로 보인다. 이를 토대로 한 효율적인 개입 프로그램 개발의 필요성이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Objectives :
The aim of this study was to analyze the recent research status of studies on emotional response and adjustment of elderly individuals after spousal bereavement in Korea and other countries and to suggest future directions.
Methods :
From January 2010 to August 2020, studies on spousal bereavement of elderly individuals published in foreign and domestic journals were selected, and a systematic literature review was performed.
Results :
Twenty-five studies (15 foreign, 10 domestic) were included and analyzed. The studies primarily involved quantitative research but some did include qualitative research, and one study was focused on integrated quantitative-qualitative research. The majority of the studies predominantly included women as participants, which may limit generalizability of the findings. Various studies reported the challenges faced by widows/widowers while carrying out different social roles after spousal loss.
Conclusion :
Further study on bereaved elderly men is needed. Most of the identified studies focused on quantitative research to ex-plore the relationship between emotional factors ; therefore, there is a need for integrated quantitative-qualitative research to develop effective intervention programs for elderly widows/widowers.
