Today’s automotive company is required to develop a vehicle with good quality and at competitive cost. So it has to develop vehicle components with reliability from the early stages. However needs from worldwide customers are very various and many nations require different performances to vehicles even from the same architecture. Therefore without any durability failure, and simultaneously satisfying customers’ requirements, an automotive engineer has to firstly consider durability among all the vehicle performances, when he starts components design. The purpose of this paper is to present implications of shock tower loads affected by tire sizes, unsprung masses, trim heights, and flexibilities of body structure.
