프린시스코 고야(Francisco Goya)의 사회 부조리에 대한 저항적 작품 연구 = A Study on the Art Works Resistant to the Social Irrationality on Francisco Goya`s Works

국문 초록 (Abstract)

미술 작품을 통해 미를 표현하는 것이 미술의 가장 기본적인 기능일 것이다. 그러나 이러한 유미주의 가치 뿐 만이 아니라 현 시대를 조명하고 고발하며 사회에 대한 저항정신을 구현하는 것 또한 미술의 기능일 것이다. 미술사적으로 의미 있는 작품들 중에는 당대의 억업적 상황을 직시하고 표현한 작품도 많다. 이처럼 사회적 상황을 토대로 사회의 어두운 부분을 표현하는 것은 미술의 순기능이라고 할 수 있다. 현실 속에서 접하게 되는 사회 부조리를 표현하는 작가들 중에서 본 논문은 스페인에서 활동했던 프란시스코 고야 작품을 중심으로 그의 작품에 나타난 저항적이고 사회 고발적인 작품에 대해 논의 하고자 한다. 고야가 활통했던 18세기 후반과 19세기 초는 과거에 대한 비판적, 대립적 태도 속에서 정치, 경제, 사회상의 변혁과 현대를 향한 진보적 기점을 마련한 시대였다. 그리고 당시의 스페인의 지식인들은 프랑스 계몽주의가 사회를 개 혁할 수 있는 방편으로 생각하고 있었다 고야 역시 계몽주의자들과 교류하면 서 계몽주의 사상에 영향을 받아 당시 정치·사회에 대한 비판적 시각을 가지 고 있었다 고야는 스페인 격변기 속에서 예술가에게도 자신이 속한 사회를 위해 봉사하여야 할 어떤 책엽이 었다는 적절한 사명감을 깨닫게 되었고, 자 신의 친구로서 계몽주의적 신념을 깊이 공감하고 계몽주의적인 신념을 가지 고 자신의 생각을 작품에 나타내고 있다. 고야는 궁중사회에서 본 모순과 환멸 속에서 계몽주의자로 변해갔으며 그에 게 민중을 상대로 그의 생각을 담아서 세상의 모순과 위정자들의 만행을 고발 하였다 그의 시대를 계봉사카기 위해서 고야가 발휘한 힘의 원천은 인간을 이성적이어야 한다는 신념과, 이 신념의 존립을 위협하는 인간의 본성의 불합 리한 요소들을 과감히 타파해야한다는 인식에 기인하는 것이었다. 그는 정치적 폐단과 종교적 악습 그리고 사회에 만연해었던 미신과 부도덕 의 사회 부조리를 작품 속에서 표현하였다 이러한 표현을 위해 그는 풍자적 인 기법을 사용하였다. 기성관념을 우스광스럽게 묘사함으로써 자신의 사상을 새롭게 표현하였으며 이러한 작품 활통을 통해 그는 스페인 사회의 부조리를 거침없이 보여주고 개혁하고자 하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Although art exists to express beauty, it also arts as a mirror that reflects the modern time. Art contains it is also expressed through the resistance spirit. In other words, art contains the value of aestheticism and it is also expressed through the resistance spirit. The possibility of art having influences on society can be glanced from the fact that the art works that created significant interests art historically looked straight at the oppressive situation of the time, which is a part revealed through the proper function of art based on the social aspect of the time. In the late 18th century, when Francisco Goya worked as a painter, thought of the French Enlightenment as an important means for social reforms in Spain in which there was prevalence of political corruption, religious evil customs and socially widespread superstition and so on. Francisco Goya had a critical opinion of the then society, under the influence of the Enlightenment preceded by his communication with Enlightenment intellectuals. Eighteen centuries were the periods of not only stimulating and economy, and social change but also providing a momentum of progress toward the modern age. Artists were sensitive to the change of the times and structures could not describe the society and human-beings at that time. Goya was changed and moved by the ideology of enlightenment because of the contradiction and disillusion in the court. Printing was the most proper way to reveal his beliefs and the society`s conflict and leaders` brutality to people. Goya concentrated in creating grotesque printings rather than beautiful works. As a result, his representative series of printings came out and thereby he could describe the artistic sensitivity of his own.
