This research tried to provide different angles to analyze disyllabification from the meaning of verbs. After comparing the meaning of monosyllable verbs and the those of synonymous disyllable verbs, there are two findings. First, the more meaning the monosyllable verb has, the more synonymous disyllable verbs there are. Secondly, most of the meaning of disyllable verbs come from the first se, which is the basic meaning of the synonymous monosyllable verbs. 421 of the 553 verbs analyzed in the thesis show the two characteristics.
