Generally, mobile sources of air pollution were classified in on-road and non-road. Non-road vehicle usually has been using the diesel engine. That has a disadvantage for many NOx emission. CRDi and system were applied for the exhaust gas emission regulation on diesel vehicle. In the present agricultural machinery has been satisfied Tier 3 emission regulation through the WGT and internal EGR. However, the off-road vehicle faced with strengthened emission regulation about NOx and PM.
In this paper, The combustion and emission characteristics had investigated for EGR system applied to 56㎾ Off-road vehicle. The EGR map had made from all kind of engine operating condition. The EGR map was made from foundation experiments and then it was applied on NRTC mode. As a result of this study, NOx emission was reduced through EGR system. NOx emission was more reduced 2nd EGR map than muffler and 1st EGR map.
