The purpose of this study is to explore the cases of linkage with the qualification development path of current lifelong educators, which is a major strategy required to introduce higher lifelong education for PDDs in reality. As a research method, FGI was used by selecting experts related to higher lifelong education for PDDs as participants in terms of qualitative case studies. The contents of this study suggest the strategy of how the qualification of professional manpower, which should be accompanied by the introduction of customized higher lifelong education for PDDs, can be linked to the qualification development path of current lifelong educators. As a result of the study, it was emphasized that the qualification system of professional manpower for the introduction of customized higher lifelong education for PDDs can be mutually integrated and linked with the qualification system of current lifelong educators. In addition, as a strategy to utilize this in detail, the qualification training path, the qualification upgrade path, and the qualification completion path for the introduction of higher lifelong education for PDDs were presented. In this regard, the sub-evidences of the current lifelong educator qualification criteria, reflection of the specificity of developmental disabilities, independent living guidelines based on employment and independence linkage, systematization of field practice courses for related institutions for PDDs, supervision and management system of the National Institute for Lifelong Education (NILE), allowance of related qualifications and career, and composition of subjects for completion were suggested.
