기독교 철학과 나의 철학 여정 = Christian Philosophy in My Journeys as a Philosopher

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article is written to place Christian philosophy in my journeys as a philosopher. The order of writing is (1) introducing the philosophy of Dooyeweerd as a first form of ‘Christian philosophy’ that I encountered, and then (2) discussing the background of being more attracted to the idea of ‘doing philosophy in a Christian way’ rather than a ‘Christian philosophy as a system by the talks with my mentors. In third part, Kant’s two ideas of philosophy will be discussed in order to discover a relevant idea of Christian philosophy proper to doing philosophy on everyday life I developed recent times. Finally, ‘Christian philosophy’ as a way of life following Christ, or, ‘Philosophia Christiana’ is discussed through reading Erasmus and Calvin. Through this article, I will claim that ‘Christian philosophy’ can have many forms, not just one, and that systematic efforts in doing Christian philosophy cannot be avoided, but nonetheless, it should not be forgotten that proper duty of philosophy is always related with concrete, everyday life.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글은 필자가 철학자로 철학을 공부해 온 여정 속에 기독교 철학이 차 지한 자리를 위치시키고자 쓴 글이다. 글의 순서는 ( 1 ) 필자가 처음 접하 게 된 ‘기독교철학’으로 도여베이르트의 철학을 소개하고, 이어서 ( 2 ) 체계 로서의 기독교철학보다는 ‘기독교적으로 철학하기’에 더 이끌렸던 배경을 몇몇 선생님들과의 만남을 통해서 이야기 한다. 이어서 ( 3 ) 칸트가 ‘철학’ 을 두고 고민한 내용과 그것이 세상속에 살아가는 우리들의 일상을 반성하 는 일과 무슨 연관이 있는지 드러내고 마지막으로 ( 4 ) 그리스도를 따라 살 아가는 삶의 방식으로서의 ‘그리스도교 철학’, 또는 ‘그리스도를 따르는 철 학’( Philosophia Christiana )을 에라스무스와 칼빈을 통해서 이야기하고 마지 막 부분에서는 기독교 철학과 관련해서 몇 가지 제안을 한다. 이 글을 통해서 필자는 ‘기독교철학’이 하나의 모습이 아니라 여러 모습을 가질 수 있으며 학문의 체계적 노력을 피할 수 없지만 그럼에도 삶의 길을 찾고, 삶을 끊임없 이 들여다보고 책임 있게 살아갈 수 있도록 사람들을 돕는 일이야말로 철학 의 고유한 본무임을 언제나 잊어서는 안 된다는 주장을 한다.
