To reduce carbon emissions in the building sector, in Korea, a green remodeling project implements to improve the energy performance of existing buildings. However, the current green remodeling lacks prioritization of elements and analysis according to the age of the building. Therefore, this study analyzed the factors that should be prioritized according to the age of the building. The results show that prioritizing passive systems for buildings over 30 years old and active systems for buildings under 20 years old is effective for energy savings. We believe that the results of this study will be useful for future research on green remodeling prioritization.
