사용자 경험 향상을 위한 카노 모델 기반 스마트폰 인터페이스 디자인 연구 -삼성 브랜드 중심으로- = A Study on the Design of Smartphone Interface Based on the Kano Model -Focused on Samsung Brand-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 스마트폰의 발전과 함께 인터페이스 디자인에관한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 사용자들은 직관적이고개인화된 스마트폰 경험을 원하며, 스마트폰 제조사들은 더욱 향상된 인터페이스를 개발하도록 촉진하고있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 삼성 스마트폰을 중심으로디자인 요구사항을 분석하고, 사용자 경험 향상을 위한 스마트폰 인터페이스 디자인 가이드라인을 제안, 활용 가능성을 검토하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이에 본연구는 문헌 연구와 스마트폰 사용자를 대상으로 한인터뷰를 통해 인터페이스 디자인에 대한 기본 요구를 파악하고, 닐슨의 10대 사용성 원칙에 따라 요약및 분류하여 사용자 인터페이스 요구사항을 도출하였다. 카노 모델과 팀코 고객만족계수를 통해 20개의 품질 속성 항목 중 매력적 품질(A) 4개, 일원적 품질(O) 5개, 당연적 품질(M) 8개, 무관심 품질(I) 3개, 역 품질(R)은 0개로 분류하여 사용자 경험에 영향을 미치는 요소를 식별하고 우선순위를 산출하였다. 종합적인우선순위 3위로 선정된 요구사항은 ‘시간/날짜 표시’, ‘간결한 레이아웃’, ‘일상 용어’이다. 이는 사용자가 스마트폰 인터페이스에서 가장 기본적인 수요를 충족시키기 위해 ‘시간/날짜’와 같은 기본 정보를 언제든지확인할 수 있는 가시성, 간결하고 심미적인 레이아웃, 그리고 이해하기 쉬운 일상용어를 사용하는 것이 중요하다는 것을 나타낸다. 분석 결과를 바탕으로 12개의 스마트폰 인터페이스 디자인 가이드라인을 제안하였다. 본 연구의 결과로써 디자이너가 사용자의 요구를 보다 정확하게 파악하여 사용자의 기대에 더 부합하는 스마트폰 인터페이스를 디자인할 수 있도록 도와준다. 또한, 본 논문에서 제안하는 디자인 가이드라인은 스마트폰 인터페이스 디자인에 대한 이론적 참고 근거를 제공하며, 스마트폰 인터페이스 디자인의지속적인 최적화 및 업그레이드를 촉진할 것으로 기대된다. 제한된 샘플으로 이루어졌다는 한계가 있어향후 연구에서는 보다 광범위한 사용자 데이터를 포함한 연구가 필요할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

With the recent development of smartphones, interest in interface design is increasing. Users want an intuitive and personalized smartphone experience, and smartphone manufacturers are facilitating the development of more advanced interfaces. The purpose of this study is to analyze design requirements focusing on Samsung smartphones, propose smartphone interface design guidelines to improve user experience, and assess their potential application. This study identified the basic requirements for interface design through literature research and interviews with smartphone users, and derived user interface requirements by summarizing and classifying them according to Nielsen’s ten usability principles. Using the Kano model and the Timko customer satisfaction coefficient, among the 20 quality attribute items, 4 attractive quality (A) items, 5 one-dimensional quality (O) items, 8 must-be quality (M) items, 3 indifferent quality (I) items, and 0 reverse quality (R) items were classified to identify factors that affect the user experience and to establish priorities. The requirements ranked as the top three overall priorities are ‘time/date display,’ ‘simple layout,’ and ‘routine terms.’ This indicates that it is important for users to have access to basic information such as ‘time/date’ at any time, a concise and aesthetic layout, and easy-to-understand everyday terms to meet the most fundamental demands in smartphone interfaces. Based on the analysis results, 12 smartphone interface design guidelines were proposed. The findings of this study help designers more accurately understand user needs and create smartphone interfaces that meet users’ expectations.
Additionally, the design guidelines proposed in this paper provide a theoretical reference for smartphone interface design and are expected to promote the continuous optimization and enhancement of smartphone interfaces. However, as the study was conducted with a limited sample size, future research should include more extensive user data.
