자녀연령과 계층적 요인이 영유아 자녀 직접돌봄시간 유형에 미치는 영향: 퍼지셋 이념형 분석의 활용 = The Effects of Social Class on Caring Types for Preschool Children: Adopting Fuzzy-set Ideal Type Analysis

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 2014년 생활시간조사를 활용하여 부모가 지닌 계층적인 특성이 영유아 자녀돌봄시간유형에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 자녀돌봄시간을 성격에 따라서 기본적인 돌봄과 상호작용적인 돌봄으로 구분하고 퍼지셋 이념형 분석을 활용하여 집중돌봄형, 시간투자형, 전략적 돌봄형, 외주형으로 유형화하였다. 분석모델은 영유아 자녀의 연령별로 0~2세와 3~5세 집단으로 구분하였고 계층적 변수는 소득과 부모의 교육수준을 투입하였다. 분석결과 자녀연령집단별로 계층적 변수의 유의성에 차이가 나타났다. 주로 0~2세 자녀가구에서 소득은 상호작용시간 비율이 높은 집중돌봄형과 전략적 돌봄형 그리고 외주형에 영향을 미치고, 학력은 기본적인 돌봄시간이 많은 시간투자형에 영향을 미쳤다. 3~5세 자녀가구집단에서는 아버지 학력이 외주형과 관련되는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 계층적 요인이 자녀돌봄 패턴에 차이를 유발함을 의미한다. 결론에서는 분석결과에 대한 이론적, 정책적 함의를 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study aims to analyse the effects of factors of parents` social class, such as income and education level on the types of child care, using 2014 Korea Time Use Survey (KTUS) Data. We devide parents` child care into intersecting basic care and interactive care. By intersecting these two variables and utilizing fuzzy-set ideal type analysis, four types of child care―Comprehensive Care (CC), Time Investment (TI), Strategic Care (SC) and Outsourcing (O)―have been classified and their membership scores have been measured. Statistical models are divided into two sub-groups according to the age of preschool children, i.e., 0-2 years and 3-5 years. The results suggest that the effects of social class variables are different between these two sub-groups. Among parents with children aged 0-2 income affects IC, SC and O/N whereas education influences TI membership scores. Among parents with children aged 3-5, on the other hand, fathers` education is relevant variable for O/N score. These findings suggest that social class factors matter in the patterns of parents` child care. Based on the empirical results, we discuss some implications for policy and future research.
