현대 상담이론 및 심리치료적 접근의 철학적 배경

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

A science of counseling emerged recently as a new field in responds to the rapidly growing demand for counseling in contemporary society. In this context, the purpose of this article is to lay the foundation for a new discipline of a philosophy of counseling. This article examines human understanding and also worldview that are required for counseling and psychotherapy. First, I attempt to investigate how the unconsciousness and instinct of Freud`s psychoanalysis are related to the will of Schopenhauer`s thought. And I examine Socratic dialogue, which is the original basis of Beck`s cognitive therapy and Ellis`s rational emotive behavior therapy. Finally, I introduce the background for the beginning of existential approaches in counseling and psychotherapy, and then investigate existentialism itself as a base of existential psychotherapy and person-centered therapy, focusing on Heidegger`s human understanding and his view of the world. I hope that both counselor and client receive philosophical nourishment by investigating human understanding and worldview that are the fundamental premise of contemporary counseling and psychotherapy. Furthermore, I pave the way for the contemporary use of philosophy with an interdisciplinary interest.
