The founders of religion hold important meaning in religion; this is especially true for a new religion. The founder of a religion not only creates ideals or rituals for the religion, but also becomes the driving force for the development of a religious community. Thus, the founder of a new religion has a powerful position that can influence the fate of religion. Research on the position of the founders of new religions can help to understand the basics of new religion and to bolster its stature. Therefore, a comparison of Unification Church`s True Parents and Kumkangdaedo`s Heaven-and-Earth Parents (乾坤父母) will enhance our understanding of Unification Church and Kumkangdaedo that can be considered as new religions in Korea. Like Christianity, Unification Church presupposes the absolute, only God. However, any religions, which presuppose monotheism or supremacy, value human communication with the only God or supremacy, value human communication with the only God or supreme being. Such mediator, who mediates communications, is a true god and messiah to human beings, as well as a true person to God. For this reason, Unification Church`s True Parents can be True Parent God and True Parent Messiah at the same time. The position of True Parents in Unification Church is not the same as that of God, but it can be substituted for True Parent God; it is True Parents as Messiah. If we look at Kumkangdaedo`s Heaven-and-Earth Parents within the framework of Unification Church`s True Parents, Kumkangdaedo`s Heaven-and-Earth Parents can be explained as the Supreme Being Heaven-and-Earth Parents and as the Savior Heaven-and-Earth Parents; it can be considered as the divine nature and the human nature, respectively. This is because Kumkangdaedo`s Heaven-and-Earth Parents also talks about the incarnation of the Supreme Being Heaven-and-Earth Parents, in the case with Oriental religion, and about the Savior Heaven-and-Earth Parents. With such a framework, a similarity can be found between Unification Church`s True Parents and Kumkangdaedo`s Heaven-and Earth Parents. Looking from the perspective of divine nature, either as the only God or the supreme being, the divine nature is structured as parents. Whether they are created or naturally produced, both creatures and nature exist as pairs of the male and female principles, based on the very inductive inference. In other words, the divine nature as a Parent provides a clue that can basically solve an issue of liberating women, which will ultimately pursue a liberation of human existence. Furthermore, an emphasis on the divine mother nature provides a foundation for the care and restoration of the environment and life. Unification Church`s True Parents is agreeable with Kumkangdaedo`s Heaven-and-Earth Parents, which is beyond the concept of Confucianism, emphasizing an importance of family and parents. Kumkangdaedo`s Heaven-and-Earth Parents is considered to be the global ethical paradigm of Later Heaven Gae-Byuk (後天開闢) Thought. From the perspective of Unification Church`s True Parents theory, the human nature of the founder has a position of True Parent Messiah. If a Hebrew word, messiah, means a savior, Unification Church`s True Parents means the human nature born spiritually with the calling of savior. In this sense, the human nature of Kunkangdaedo`s Heaven-and-Earth Parents are considered to be an incarnated human nature of Man-go-dae-sung, a Great Maitreya (彌勒大佛), and Tae-geuk-moo-geuk-hyun-hwa-chun-jon. The common messages can be found between Unification Church`s True Parent Messiah and Kunkangdaedo`s Savior Heaven-and-Earth Parent Unification Church`s True Parent Messiah tries to establish a society seeking co-existence and co-prosperity by realizing the ideal of true family through the clearing of original sin of sex crime. Kunakangdaedo also tries to seek an ideal society of Unity (大同) world and Yongwha(龍華) world through the establishment of morality in this confusing time
