우리나라 아동비만의 실태와 위험성 고찰

국문 초록 (Abstract)

아동 비만은 성인 비만으로 이어져 향후 심혈관계질환으로의 이환 가능성이 매우 높으며, 자아가 형성되는 시기인 아동기에 다 양한 심리사회적인 문제를 유발함으로써 미래 사회 구성원의 건강과 삶의 질을 위협하는 주요 요인이 된다. 따라서 현대 사회 에서의 아동 비만에 관한 문제는 개인적인 이슈에 국한되는 것이 아닌 국가적인 차원에서 해결해야 할 시급한 과제이며, 아동 비만을 효율적으로 관리하는 것은 국민의 건강증진과 더불어 삶의 질 향상을 위해 필수적이다. 최근의 발표된 통계 자료에 따 르면 우리나라 아동의 비만 유병율은 해가 갈수록, 연령이 증가할수록 증가 추세에 있으며, 비만을 유발하는 생활습관들도 이 와 비슷한 경향을 보이고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 아동비만 문제의 해결을 위해 초등학생 시기부터 생활 습관을 바로 잡 아주는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다 할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Child obesity leads to adult obesity and is highly likely to cause a cardiovascular disease in the future. It is also a major factor in threatening the health and quality of life of future members of our society by inducing various psychosocial problems in the childhood when the self identity is formed. Therefore, the problem of child obesity in modern society is not an personal issue but it is an urgent task to be solved at the national level. The effective management of child obesity is essential for improving the health of the people as well as improving the quality of life. According to the recently published statistics, the prevalence of obesity in children is increasing overtime and with increasing age, and the lifestyle habits that cause obesity have similar trends. Therefore, to solve the problem of child obesity, it is the most important to correct lifestyle from elementary school age.
