직장인의 학습동기가 생애진로설계에 미치는 영향 = The effects of the office workers' learning motivation on life career plan.

Ⅰ. Purpose of the Study
There has been many changes in life cycle with prolonged length of life owing to the developments of science, and people are making efforts for enjoying more affluent & valuable life during their prolonged life. The enforcement of five-day workweek changed people's life-style and increased free time. They are making many efforts to use increased free time into leisure of more productive type rather than simple consumptive type. We can see many people to acquire skills required for business & plan their future career including activities of hobby & leisure for their life and doing meaningful things to serve for the society after leaving their office or on weekends. Therefore, it's required to acquire the necessary knowledge & skill through learning during life and cultivate abilities in order to adapt themselves to social changes, so it's very important through life to plan life career plan fitting for the situation, experience, interest & aptitude of each individual.
Ⅱ. Method of the Study
So this study intends to be used as the basic data for career guidance & counseling in order for individuals to pursuit life they want & maintain stable job life through investigating workers' spheres of learning motivation & life career plan and analyzing the effects of learning motivation on life career plan.
The object of this study was set as the office workers located in Seoul, and the total 551 copies were studied except for the cases having many inadequate & omitted replies. As for data processing, frequency analysis, independent sampling t-test, one-way analysis of variance & regression analysis were used using SPSSWIN 12.0 program, and the results of this study are like followings.
Ⅲ. Results
First, as the difference analysis result of learning motivation according to workers' personal characteristic variables, it's higher for women than man with high mean value in 20s. As for academic background, it shows significance only in learning motivation for social relations, as for occupational category, it's higher for persons in professional work, and it shows unmarried people have much interest in learning than married people.
Second, it shows life career plan comes to differ according to workers' personal characteristic variables. It's higher for men than women, people over 40s are higher at work-oriented, and as for academic background, it shows significance only in work-oriented. In addition, as for job category, there's the most significant difference in work-oriented than other factors. This shows that workers pursuit work mainly in planning life career plan and have much interest in developing & improving it.
Third, as the result of verifying if there's difference in life career plan according to workers' learning motivation, it was analyzed there are very significant differences in learning motivation including activity-oriented type, aim-oriented type & learning-oriented type. According to this analytic result, it shows most workers have high motivation on learning and participate in learning actively in order to develop their selves & pursuit individual growth related to their vocations.
Fourth, as an analytic result if workers' learning motivation influences on life career plan, it shows individual learning motivation influences on life career plan complexly. It was verified there's greatest influences in work-oriented as the objective career, so it shows workers make much of work in their entire life and learning takes very important role for life career plan.
On conclusion, there's significance in learning motivation & life career plan according to personal characteristic variables, and it shows setting the successful career direction through the systemic learning & educational programs influences positively on the labor market according to analytic result that life career plan comes to differ as to learning motivation. So in order to live a life an individual wants, many efforts will be required for future life career plan through acquiring learning they need.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

과학의 발달로 인하여 사람의 수명 연장과 함께 생애주기에도 많은 변화를 맞고 있으며, 사람들은 길어진 생애동안 보다 풍요롭고 가치있는 삶을 누리기 위해 노력한다. 주5일제 실시는 사람들의 라이프 스타일(life-style)을 변화시키고 여가시간을 증대시켰다. 사람들은 증대된 여가시간을 단순히 소비적 형태의 여가로서가 아닌 보다 생산적 형태의 여가로 활용하기 위해 많은 노력을 하고 있다. 이는 퇴근 후나 주말을 이용하여 업무에 필요한 기술을 습득하거나, 자신의 인생에서 필요한 취미나 여가활동하거나, 사회에 봉사할 수 있는 뜻 깊은 일을 하거나 하는 등 미래에 대한 진로설계를 하는 사람들의 모습을 많이 볼 수 있다. 그러므로 생애를 살아가는데 있어서 학습을 통하여 필요한 지식과 기술 등을 습득하고 사회 변화에 적응하기 위한 능력을 함양하는 것이 필요하며, 각 개인의 상황이나 경험, 흥미, 적성 등에 맞는 생애진로설계를 계획하는 것은 생애 전반에서 매우 중요한 일이라고 할 수 있다.
따라서 본 연구에서는 직장인을 대상으로 학습동기와 생애진로설계의 영역을 조사하고 학습동기가 생애진로설계에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 분석하여 개인이 희망하는 삶을 추구하고, 안정된 직업생활을 유지할 수 있도록 진로지도 및 상담의 기초자료로 활용하는데 그 의의가 있다.
본 연구의 대상은 서울에 소재한 직장인으로 하였으며, 이중 부적절하고 누락된 응답이 많은 사례를 제외하고 총 551부를 연구대상으로 하였다. 자료처리는 SPSSWIN 12.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석, 독립표본 t검증과 일원배치 분산분석, 회귀분석 등을 사용하였으며, 그 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 학습동기를 직장인의 개인특성변인에 따라 차이 분석한 결과, 여성이 남성보다 높게 나타냈고, 20대에서 높은 평균값을 보였다. 학력에서는 사회관계를 위한 학습동기에서만 유의하게 나타났고, 직종에서는 전문직에 종사하는 사람들이 높게 나타났으며, 미혼이 기혼보다 학습에 더 많은 관심을 갖는 것으로 밝혀졌다.
둘째, 직장인의 개인특성변인에 따라 생애진로설계가 달라지는 것으로 나타났다. 남성이 여성보다 높게 나타났고, 40대 이상이 일지향에서 높게 나타났으며 학력에서도 일지향에서만 유의하게 나타났다. 또한, 직종에서도 다른 요인들보다 일지향에서 가장 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 이는 직장인들이 생애진로설계를 계획하는 데 있어 일을 추구하는 부분이 많으며, 이를 더욱 발전시키고 향상시키는 데 많은 관심을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
셋째, 직장인의 학습동기에 따라 생애진로설계의 차이가 있는지 검증한 결과, 활동지향형, 목표지향형, 학습지향형 등의 학습동기에서 모두 매우 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이 분석결과에 따르면 직장인의 대부분이 학습에 대한 동기가 높은 것으로 나타났고, 직업과 관련하여 자신을 개발하고 개인적인 성장을 추구하기 위하여 학습에 적극적으로 참여하는 것으로 나타났다.
넷째, 직장인의 학습동기가 생애진로설계에 영향을 미치는 지에 대한 분석 결과, 각각의 학습동기가 생애진로설계에 복합적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이 중 객관적 진로인 일지향에서 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 검증되는데 이는 직장인들의 전체 생애에서 일(work) 측면을 중요시하는 동시에 생애진로설계를 위해서 학습이 매우 중요한 역할을 한다는 것으로 분석되었다.
결론적으로 개인특성변인에 따라 학습동기 및 생애진로설계에서 유의하게 나타났으며 학습동기에 따라 생애진로설계가 달라진다는 분석결과에 따라 체계적인 학습과 교육프로그램을 통하여 성공적인 진로방향을 설정할 수 있도록 하는 것이 노동시장에서도 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것임을 알 수 있다. 이에 개인이 희망하는 삶을 영위해서는 스스로가 필요한 학습을 습득함으로써 미래에 대한 생애진로설계를 하는 것에 시간과 노력을 아끼지 말아야 할 것이다.
