스포츠, 공간, 사회: 스포츠공간에 관한 공간사회학적 고찰 = Sports, Space, Society: Spatial-Sociological Study about The Sports Space

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 스포츠공간과 관련된 사회적 이슈를 파헤치고 분석하기 위해 공간사회학 관점에서 스포츠공간과 사회 간의 관계에 주목하였다. 이를 위해 공간과 사회의 관계를 파헤치는 공간사회학에 관하여 알아보고, 나아가 공간사회학적 관점에서 변모하는 스포츠공간에 대한 이해를 도모하고자 하였다. 구체적인 내용은 다음과 같다. 먼저, 공간사회학의 인식론과 학문적 관심사에 관한 내용이다. 공간사회학의 인식론은 ‘개인은 사회의 부분이다’, ‘공간은 사회활동을 반영하고, 구축하여 심지어 저항과 축하의 수단이 된다’, ‘공간은 고정되거나 보편적으로 공유되는 것이 아니다’ 등에 근거한다. 그리고 공간사회학의 학문적 관심사는 정치, 경제와의 관계, 사회적 불평등에 따른 공간적 분화, 여가공간의 사회적 구조화 및 사회적 관계에 주목해 왔다. 다음으로 공간사회학 관점에서 본 스포츠공간에 관한 내용이다. 공간사회학 이론 중 Lefebvre의 공간변증법 이론과 Relph의 현상학적 장소론 이론은 스포츠공간의 (재)생산의 문제와 스포츠공간의 장소이미지와 장소정체성에 관한 이해를 도모하는데 있어 유용한 이론적 틀을 제공해 줄 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study focused on the relationship between sports space and society in the view of the sociology of space in order to analyze sports and sports space related social issues. For this, we studied the sociology of space digging into the relationship between space and society, further help understand sports space that changes in the view of spatial sociology. First, The following is about the epistemology and academic interests of the sociology of space. the epistemology of the sociology of space is based on the facts that ‘each person is a part of society’, ‘space reflects and establishes social activity, and even is a means of resistance and celebration. ‘and ‘space is not thing that can be fixed and generally shared.’ And the sociology of space has focused on spatial differentiation from relationship between politics and economics, and social inequality, social structuralization of leisure space, and social relations. Second, when studying the content about the sports space from view of the space of sociology, Lefebvre’s spatial dialectic theory and Relph’s phenomenological place theory among the theory of spatial sociology can offer useful theoretical frame when helping understand the matter of reproduction in the sports space and place image and place identity.
