논문 : 동선데이터 정량화를 통한 BIM 기반 설계품질검토 접근방법 = An approach to the BIM-enabled Building Design Assessment using Quantitative Datasets Derived from Circulation-related Objects & Properties

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 건물정보 모델링 (BIM; Building Information Modeling) 기반의 도구를 활용하여 건축물의 동선 관련 객체 및 속성의 정량적인 데이터를 추출하여 활용함으로써 설계 품질을 검토하는데 효과적으로 사용될 수 있도록 하는 접근 방법을 제시한다. BIM 기반의 설계품질 검토는 일반적으로 룰체킹 도구라 불리는 BIM 응용 소프트웨어에서 실행이 되나, 건물 모델의 특정한 객체 및 속성에 대한 다양한 사용자 지정 조건을 검토하기에는 효과적이지 못하다. 건물 모델의 다양한 설계정보에 대한 속성 값을 제어하고 응용 및 확장하는데 제한이 있기 때문이다. 이러한 제한을 극복할 효율적인대안으로써 본 연구자의 기존 연구 및 개발의 결과물인 BERA 랭귀지 및 해당 도구를 활용하여 기존의 BIM 응용 프로그램으로는 쉽게 추출할 수없었던 건물 동선에 관한 데이터 값을 추출하여 BIM 모델의 동선과 그에 관련한 객체에 따른 속성으로부터 추출되는 동선 데이터를 NDBC (Numeric Data of Building Circulation)로 정의하였다. 이를 통해 실제 리모델링이 진행 되었던 대학 건물의 두 가지 설계 안에 적용시켜 각각의 분석 결과데이터 값을 비교하는 사례를 통해 본 접근방법에 대한 응용가능성을 제시하였다. 본 논문을 통해 설계안의 동선관련 객체와 속성정보를 적극 활용하여 정량화된 방법으로 동선관련 설계품질의 검토와 비교를 수행하는 하나의 접근방법을 제시하고 사례구현을 통해 살펴보고자 한다.

This paper focuses on an approach to BIM-enabled design analysis using quantitative data derived from building circulation paths, objects and their associated properties. The script language-based approach is necessary for design review tasks especially focusing on precise data retrieval and post-processing. BERA (Building Environment Rule and Analysis) language and its tool is one of the script language-based approaches, and we examines specific dataset from given BIM models in terms of building circulation data. This paper describes the approach as follows; 1) analyzing numeric data of building circulation and defining Numeric Data of Building Circulation by specific formula, 2) comparing and visualizing the differences between design alternatives in actual remodeling project, and 3) the quantitative result of design analysis can support decision making process within design alternatives. As a result, this paper describes a demonstration of NDBC extracted building circulation cases for comparing design alternatives in a building remodeling project.
