This study was to investigate the effect of the meditation by a communicative system of exchanging pictures on a competition of asking for laking action of the children with developmental disorder in the involved environment. For this purpose, three subjects with developmental disorder participated in the tests which conducted for 45 minutes at a time, 4 times, and a total of 45 times, and in the tests, the multi-basic lines design was used.
The variation in the rate of accomplishment of the competition of asking for taking action of the children with developmental disorder was analyzed to indicate the profile. And the measures for the accomplishment of the competition of asking for taking action were divided into the exchange of pictures, making imitative words while exchanging pictures, voluntaries while exchanging pictures, so forth, and were analyzed the variation in each item in terms of the period of basic line, the period of meditation, the period of generalization, and the period of maintenance.
The findings were as follows.
Firstly, at the stage of meditation, the accomplishment of the competition of asking for taking action, which didn't appeared if the period of basic line, dramatically roared up except for a child called 2, on the other hand, in the maintenance test, all the children showed higher accomplishment than that of meditation stage. This means that the meditation by a communicative system of exchanging pictures had positive influence on three children' attainment and improvement of the accomplishment of competition of asking for taking action.
Secondly, each measure for the accomplishment of the competition of asking for taking action, which didn't appeared at the stage of basic line, ad positive influence on the accomplishment of the competition of asking for taking action when the meditations were used. In other words, the meditation by a communication of exchanging pictures had positive influence on the attainment of making imitative words while exchanging pictures, making voluntaries while exchanging pictures, so forth.
In the involved environment using a meditation of the communicative system of exchanging pictures, the competence of asking for taking action of the children with developmental disorder had positive influence at both stages of generalization and maintenance.
Judged from the findings above it can be said that:
Firstly, the meditation by a communicative system of exchanging pictures had an effect on the improvement of three subjects' competition of asking for taking action in the involved environment.
Secondly, the meditation by a communicative system of exchanging pictures had on effect on three subjects' accomplishment of the measures for the competition such as the exchange of pictures, making imitative words while exchanging pictures, and making voluntaries while exchanging pictures in the involved environment.
Thirdly, the meditation by a communicative system of exchanging pictures had an effect on the generalization and the maintenance of three subjects' accomplishment of asking for taking action and the accomplishment of each measure even after the mediation was finished in the involved environment.
