This paper explores the characteristics of computer games as digital storytelling. Digital storytelling is a new medium of communication, learning, and self-expression that mixes the age-old art of telling stories with the new possibilities of worldwide digital communication and interactivity. It has three definitive aspects plasticity, universality, interactivity and needs a balance between an historically grounded, human centered appreciation of good storytelling skills and a sophisticated grasp of the creative potential of a new set of digital tools. I focus on the fact that game is a kind of digital storytelling and study on the characteristics of plot, character, view point and the relationship between fictions, films, games. Games have the aesthetics of fun which is different from that of `works of art` and the feature of the fantastic which is different from the reality of modern art.
