장애인고용증진협약사업 성과 분석 = Analysis of the Outcomes Regarding the Agreement Project on Employment Promotion for the Disabled

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is aimed at understanding the outcomes and problems of employment agreements with enterprises, and to propose alternatives enhancing them in the future through a systematic analysis of the Agreement Project on Employment Promotion for the Disabled, which was launched in 2005 and centers on conglomerates. An evaluation regarding the project was performed through an analysis of evidence from 166 enterprises and 17 case studies.
The result of the analysis showed that this project has a positive impact on numbers of the disabled finding employment; especially that the impact was significant from 2005 to 2008. The results of the case analysis on enterprises which concluded the agreement demonstrate that most organizations intensified their efforts for hiring and retaining the disabled after concluding the agreement. KEPAD supported these companies in various ways. By means of this project, 2,700 workers with disabilities have been hired in the 3-year period since 2005 － the majority being employed
in the nation's 30 largest companies.
This Employment Agreement Project has not only brought an increase of quantity, but also changes of quality regarding employment of the disabled. It has become an opportunity to positively increase disability awareness within the conglomerates, especially in regard to employment.
