      국문 초록 (Abstract)

      논에 서식하는 잠자리 자충과 딱정벌레유충의 모기유충에 대한 포식능력을 옥내 실험을 통해 조사하였다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 잠자리과의 밀잠자리자충(Ortherumt. melania)은 27.5일간의 자충기간중 총 1415$\pm$17.2(S.E.)마리(1일평균 51.6$\pm$5.9)를 포식하였고, 좀잠자리자충(Sympetrum sp.)은 21.7일간 총 457.2$\pm$10.8마리(1일평균 38.4$\pm$2.0)를 포식하였다. 2. 딱정벌레 목의 물방개(Cybister japonicus), 깨알물방개(Laccophilus sp.) 및 꼬마물땅땅(Hydrophilus affinus)는 종령기간중 1일평균 46.6$\pm$5.5, 118.9$\pm$7.8 및 162.2$\pm$3.5마리를 각각 포식하였다. 3. 2cm와 8cm로 물깊이를 달리한 용기에서 관찰한 바 밀잠자리 3령기자충은 28.8$\pm$1.8마리와 27.8$\pm$2.0마리를, 물방개 중령기유충은 29.3$\pm$7.3마리와 28.3$\pm$7.5마리를 포식하여 유의차가 없었다.

      Studies on mosquito larval predation efficacy of some Odonata nymphs and Coleoptera larvae, abundant and widely distributed in the rice fields, were carried out in the laboratory condition, and the results are summarized as follows. 1. In Odonata nymphs, Orthetrum triangulare melania(Libellulidae) took 27.5 days of Nymphal stage through 5 times of ecdyses after hibernation, preying on total 1,414 4th instar larvae of C. p. pallens, with daily consumption of 51.6 in average and 170 in maximum. Sympetrum sp. (Libellulidae) took 21.7 days through 4 ecdyses, preying on total 457.2 larvae with daily consumption of 38.4 in average and 89 in maximum. A late instar of unidentified species of Agrionidae preyed on 20 4th instar larvae of C.p. pallens. 2. In Coleoptera, Cybister japonicus larvae(Dytiscidae) in late instars preyed on 46.6 4th instar larvae of C. p. pallens in average and 78 larvae in maximum in 24 hours, and Laccophilus sp. (Dytiscidae) larvae consumed 118.9 larvae in average and 176 larvae in maximum Hydrophilus affinus (Hydrophilidae) was the most aggressive and consumed the highest number of the larvae, showing daily consumption of 162.2 in average and 185 in maximum at the late instar.3. As both species of Dytiscidae, Cybister japonicus and Laccophilus sp. were most widely distributed and abundant in rice fields, and also potentiality of their predation efficacy was very promising. The larvae of two species would regulate the vector mosquito populations in much more degree than any other associated predators. 4. In Hemiptera, an adult of Nepa sp. of Nepidae preyed on 6 4th instar larvae of C. p. pallens in aberage and 13 in maximum in 24 hours.
