대학생 데이트폭력 경험자의 자기노출과 외상 후 성장과의 관계: 정신화와 의도적 반추의 이중매개효과 = The Relationship between self-exposure and post-traumatic growth in college student dating violence experienced:The double-mediated effect of mentalization and intentional rumination

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 데이트폭력경험자의 자기노출과 외상 후 성장의 관계에서 정신화와 의도적 반추가 순차적으로 매개하여 외상 후 성장에 영향을 주는지에 대한 이중매개역할을 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 전국에 소재한 대학교에 재학중인 남녀 대학생 총 179명을 대상으로 자료분석을 실시하였으며, SPSS PROCESS macro model 6을 이용하여, 기술통계분석, 신뢰도 분석, 상관분석, 매개효과를 검증하였다.
본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 데이트폭력 경험자의 자기노출, 정신화, 의도적 반추는 외상 후 성장에 모두 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자기노출과 외상 후 성장의 관계에서 정신화는 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 자기노출과 외상 후 성장의 관계에서 의도적 반추는 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 자기노출과 외상 후 성장의 관계에서 정신화와 의도적 반추가 순차적으로 매개하여 이중매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 외상에 대한 자기노출은 정신화에 영향을 미쳐 외상이 주는 의미를 이해하고 수용 할 수 있도록 도와주며, 새로운 가능성을 발견하고 긍정적 의미를 탐색하는 의도적 반추의 인지적 기능을 촉진 시켜 외상 후 성장에 도달 할 수 있도록 도와주는 것을 의미한다.
본 연구의 의의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기존의 데이트폭력에 관한 연구들이 가해요인, 피해요인 중심으로 살펴봤다면 본 연구는 데이트폭력 경험자의 성장에 영향을 주는 요인에 대해 살펴봤다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 둘째, 기존 선행연구들은 자기노출과 외상 후 성장, 정신화와 의도적 반추 등의 관계를 단편적으로만 검증하였기 때문에 본 연구를 통해 변인들 간의 관계를 확장하여 검증하고 이해하는데 의의가 있다. 셋째, 자기노출, 의도적 반추와 같은 인지적 측면뿐만 아니라, 정서적 측면을 모두 갖춘 정신화를 통하여 인지적 정서적 통합적 측면을 살펴봤다는데 의의가 있다.
본 연구의 제한점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 남성의 데이트폭력 경험자에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 둘째, 데이트폭력경험에 대한 변인 유형의 다각적 연구가 필요하다. 셋째, 본 연구는 인터넷을 통한 자기보고식 설문으로 작성하였다. 인터넷의 익명성에 기대어 자기 방어적 응답과 왜곡이 섞여 있을 가능성이 있다. 이에 추후 연구에서는 면접법, 관찰법 등을 함께 사용하여 연구결과에 대한 정확성을 높일 필요가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study attempted to verify the dual mediating role of whether mentalization and intentional rumination affect post-traumatic growth by sequentially mediating the relationship between self-exposure and post-traumatic growth of college student dating violence experienced. To this end, data analysis was conducted on a total of 179 male and female college students enrolled in universities nationwide, and descriptive statistical analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and mediating effects were verified using SPSS PROCESS macro model 6.The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, it was found that self-exposure, mentalization, and intentional rumination of dating violence experienced all had a positive effect on post-traumatic growth. Second, mentalization was found to play a mediating role in the relationship between self-exposure and post-traumatic growth. Third, intentional rumination was found to play a mediating role in the relationship between self-exposure and post-traumatic growth. Fourth, in the relationship between self-exposure and post-traumatic growth, mentalization and intentional reflection were found to play a double mediating role sequentially. This means that self-exposure to trauma affects mentalization, helps to understand and accept the meaning of trauma, and promotes the cognitive function of intentional rumination to discover new possibilities and explore positive meanings to help reach post-traumatic growth.The significance of this study is as follows. First, if existing studies on dating violence focused on perpetrators and victims, this study is meaningful in that it examines the factors that affect the growth of people who have experienced dating violence. Second, since previous studies have only verified the relationship between self-exposure, post-traumatic growth, mentalization, and intentional rumination, it is meaningful to expand and understand the relationship between variables through this study. Third, it is meaningful that not only cognitive aspects such as self-exposure and intentional reflection, but also cognitive and emotional integration aspects were examined through mentalization, which is an emotional aspect.The limitations of this study are as follows. First, it is necessary to study men who have experienced dating violence. Second, it is necessary to conduct a multilateral study on the types of variables for dating violence experiences. Third, this study was written as a self-report questionnaire through the Internet. There is a possibility that there is a mixture of self-defensive responses and distortions against the anonymity of the Internet. Therefore, in future studies, it is necessary to increase the accuracy of the research results by using interview methods and observation methods together.
