만 2세 영아의 또래 상호작용이 사회적 능력 및 정서지능에 미치는 영향

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 영아의 또래 상호작용이 사회적 능력 및 정서지능에 미치는 영향력과 관련성에 대해서 분석하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 연구대상은 수도권에 위치한 어린이집에 다니는 만 2세 남아 56명, 여아 56명을 포함한 총 112명의 영아와 교사 14명이었다. 연구방법은 Pearson의 correlation을 사용하여 분석하였으며, SPSS-WIN 21.0 Program과 AMOS 18.0 Program을 이용하여 중다회귀분석을 시행하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 영아의 긍정적인 또래 상호작용은 사회적 능력 및 정서지능과 깊은 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 부정적인 또래 상호작용과 사회적 능력은 관련성이 있으나, 정서지능과는 아무런 관련성이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 긍정적인 또래 상호작용은 사회적 능력 및 정서지능에 직접적인 영향력을 보였으며, 부정적인 또래 상호작용은 사회적 능력과 정서지능의 정서표현에는 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 정서인식에는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 영아기의 또래상호작용이 사회·정서발달과 밀접한 관련성의 의의를 두고 연구논의 지속성을 시사하고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study establishes and analyzes statistical correlations between toddlers’ peer interactions and their social competence and emotional intelligence. Also, this study analyzes the statistical effects of toddlers’ peer interactions on their social competence and emotional intelligence. The 126 participants consisted of 56 girls and 56 boys, all of whom were two years of age and attending day-care centers, and 14 of their teachers. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, and Pearson"s correlation by using the SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 18.0 programs. The findings indicate that first, toddlers’ positive peer interactions have statistically significant correlations with their social competence and emotional intelligence. However, toddlers’ negative peer interactions have statistically significant correlations with their social competence only. Second, specifically the effects of toddlers’ positive peer interactions on their social competence and emotional intelligence. And the effects of toddlers’ negative peer interactions on their social competence and emotional expression of emotional intelligence. The study suggests the association between toddlers’ interactions and their socio-emotional development (social competence and emotional intelligence) in infancy.
