The quaternary polymer salts(QPSs) of poly(4-vinyl pyridine)(PVPy) and poly(1-vinyl imidazole)(PVIm) were prepared through quaternization reaction between polymers and allyl bromide or butyl bromide. Then, the nanofibrous anion exchange membrane(AEM) was fabricated by electrospinning of blend solution of QPSs with poly(vinylidenefluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene)(PVdF-HFP) in dimethylformamaide(DMF). The operating conditions of electrospinning equipment were controlled to fabricate nanofiber mat stably and continuously such as voltage, tip to collector distance(TCD) and injection rate. The weight fraction of QPS in the membranes was controlled to confirm effects of the change of QPS content in membranes. The chemical structure of QPSs and surface morphology of membranes were confirmed by ATR-IR, 1H-NMR and SEM. By using TGA, thermal stability of membranes was confirmed. Electrochemical properties dependence on content of QPSs in membranes such as water uptake, ion exchange capacity and ion conductivity were investigated by Mohr titration and an impedance analyzer. Also, the solubility of membranes in acidic, basic conditions and deionized water was investigated.
