기후변화체험을 위한 공간디자인 및 전시연출개발 -청주시 기후변화체험교육관을 중심으로- = Space Design and Exhibition Development for Climate Change Experience in Education Center -Focusing on the Cheongju Climate Change Experience Education Center-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

(연구배경 및 목적) 최근 정부의 주도로 기후변화에 대처하는 많은 지자체들의 노력이 잇따르고 있는데 그러한 노력들은 학생 및 일반계층을 대상으로 한 기후변화 홍보 및 교육의 거점을 확보하고자 하는 방안을 수립하고 이를 위한 전시시설의 투자로 나타나고 있다. 실제로 여러 지방 도시들에서 신규 또는 기존시설을 리노베이션하는 방식으로 전시관은 건립되고 있으며 그 중 청주시는 시의 정책적 기조인 녹색도시 육성을 바탕으로 청주시 최초의 테마파크인 우암어린이회관을 기후변화체험교육관으로 변경함으로써 남녀노소가 모두 즐길 수 있는 문화공간으로 재탄생시키고자 하였다. 이에 본 디자인에서는 녹색도시, 청주’의지역 이미지를 제고하는 기후변화체험교육관의 구축을 통해 테마파크를 찾는 방문객들에게 기후변화의 이해, 현상, 원인, 대응그리고 우리의 실천방안을 제시하고자 하였다. (연구방법) 본 디자인 개발에서는 관람경험으로 자발적인 참여를 유도하는 전시기법과 함께 시민의 생각을 공유하고 의견을 수렴하는 참여의 장으로서 청주시의 녹색도시 통합 이미지 브랜딩을 목표로 하는 전시공간이 되어질 것을 제안하였다. 디자인의 진행방법은 첫째, 현황분석으로써 사업 대상지인 어린이회관의 입지 및 건축현황분석을 통해 시설의 요구사항을 조사하였다, 또한 지역의 문화시설 수요를 분석하였다. 둘째, 대외 환경분석으로 국내 기후환경관련 유관 시설의 현황을 통해 차별화 방향을 모색하고, 시대별 기후환경 전시 트랜드의 변화를 조사하여 전시기본방향을 설정한다. 셋째, 디자인 프로세스 단계로써 전시 컨셉을 설정하고, 전시스토리라인, 공간, 연출이 하나의 컨셉으로 관람객에게 전달되도록 세부디자인을 진행하였다. 마지막 결론에서는 첨단 전시가이드 매체의 도입을 통한 관람운영 활성화 및 전시컨셉의 통합운영방안을 정의하였다. (결과) 관람객의 실천 촉구를 위해 전시 컨셉은 행위에 초점을 맞춰 ‘손잡고 더불어 함께 지키는 기후환경’으로 설정하였다. 이는 공간 내 체험 아이템들을 통해 CO2와 인류의 관계를 직접 체험함으로써 탄소저감을 위한 생활 속 작은 실천 방법을 전시관에서 공유하는 기회를 제공한다. 상설전시는 기후변화로 위기에 처한 위험존과 이를 회복하려는 인류의 노력를 다루는 기회존으로 나누었다. 그 가운데에는 CO2와 인류의 관계를 체험하는 실천존을 계획하여 나의 실천으로 위험이 기회로 바뀐다는 것을 공간과 전시연출에 개념화하였다. 이는 전시 컬러, 조명, 연출매체를 통해 구체화된다. 전시의 마지막은 공존존을 두어 지금까지 체험한 실천의 방법을 약속하는 것으로 마무리하였다. (결론) 본 디자인 안은 보여주기 전시 보다는 스스로 만들어 가는 전시를 지향하였으며 이를 전시 주제, 디자인, 체험시스템을 통해 구현하고자 하였다. 또한 향후 전시운영의 활성화를 위해서 전시물과 관람객이 소통할 수 있는 첨단 가이드시스템의 도입을 제안하였다. 이는 전시 스토리라인 내에서 관람자들이 매체를 통해 메시지를 주고 받을 수 있는 상호커뮤니케이션의 주요한 수단으로서 관람이해도 증대와 전시참여를 통한 교육적 효과를 가져 올 것이다. 더 나아가서 이러한 전시연출의 방법은 체험을 통한 실천적 교육의 활성화로 전시의 기획, 공간, 연출이 하나의 주제로 통합되어 이루어지도록 하는데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

(Background and Purpose)In recent years, many trial had been made by local autonomous entity guided by the central government plan. These trials are realized by the climate change policy promotion, education, in the exhibition hall for the general public and students. Actually, in local cities many exhibition halls have been renewed or newlly constructed from the ground. For example, Cheongju City changed Wooam Children``s Center, the first theme park of city, into the Climate Change Experience Education Center, which embraced cutural behavior for the green city policy promotion of the city. Cheongju City plans to promote its ``green city`` image through the Climate Change Experience Education Center. By planning exhibition hall for people to understand the climate change, its phenomena, cause, response, and to show what we can do. (Methods) The method of how the design was proceeded is, first, the location and construction status of the Wooam Children``s Center were analyzed and the requirements of the facility were collected, and the local needs for cultural facilities were also analyzed. Second, as an analysis of external environment, the status of domestic climate-related facilities was analyzed and how to differentiate from those facilities was considered, and the trend change of climate environment exhibitions was investigated to set the basic direction of the exhibition. Third, as a design process stage, the exhibition concept is set, and the detailed design of exhibition storyline, space, display were proceeded to be delivered to the visitors as one concept. In the final conclusion, activating tour operation and the integrated operation of the exhibition concept by introducing state-of-the-art media exhibition guide was defined. (Result) Permanent exhibition is divided into two zones; the danger zone which shows the risk of climate change and the opportunity zone which shows the efforts of humans to restore the environment. Inbetween, there is the action zone where visitors can experience the relationship between CO2 and humans and it will conceptualize that each individual``s action will turn danger into opportunity. This is embodied by the exhibition color, lighting, and display media. At the end of the exhibition, the coexistence zone will be placed and visitors will promise to take actions of what they can do in their daily life and the exhibition will be finished. (Conclusion) The main focus of this design plan is to draw active participation from audience, which is implemented through the exhibition theme, design, and experience system. Thus, the advanced audience guidance system become the very essential tool in the communicative part of the design between the exhibition and visitor. It will effectively widen the understanding from audiences and bring out the very best of educational experience in exhibition, working as the effective interactive instrument in exhibition storyline. The active educational outcome through the communicative experience in exhibition can be best achieved by planing the exhibition design, special understanding and the direction as a whole unified process.
