The purpose of this study is to examine piano pedagogy guidelines and curricula at graduate levels in the United States of America and to suggest piano pedagogy guidelines that can be adapted at graduate levels in Republic of Korea. First, the guidelines from the NASM Handbook and the outlines for piano pedagogy component of graduate degree programs presented by NCKP are reviewed. Secondly, three master``s degree programs`` and three doctorate degree programs`` curricula are analyzed. Based on the analysis, piano pedagogy programs at graduate levels in the U. S. A. are diverse, but the programs adhere to the NASM guidelines. Based on the review and the analysis, setting a goal of the program, designing standard curricular structure, developing piano pedagogy course content, assigning graduation requirement, and preparing educational environment should be considered before offering piano pedagogy programs at graduate levels in Korea.
