      The ‘Appraisal Fee Standards’ enforced by Ministry of Construction, established in 1989 and amended in 2002. But recently an opinion that legal standards system must be abolished is appeared and opposition to it too is come in sight. This paper is to reappraise such discussions. The current Appraisal Fee Standards should be amended according to alterations and abolitions of related laws including it``s ‘the Public Notice to Values and Appraisal of Lands, etc. Act’. It is desirable that appraisal fee is assessed by amount of appraised value and supplementing difficulty of appraisal. It is not advisable for government to accept proposal of the fee liberalization and the Appraisal Fee Standards System is maintained. Accordingly, It is recommended that the minimum fee is increased to one point 200,000won and the discount rate on a large order in case of easy performance is added. Study of detailed improvement on all matters of the fee system will take a longtime.
