학문 목적 한국어 쓰기에서 나타난 자료 사용의 양상: 중국인 대학원생의 쓰기 자료 분석을 중심으로 = Chinese Graduate Students’ Source Use in KFL Academic Writing

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the pattern of the source use of Chinese international students enrolled in graduate schools in Korea. In order to achieve the research purpose, this study collected the writing data of 11 international students in master’s course at a university in Seoul for 4 semesters. A qualitative analysis of the collected texts was used as the main method, and a quantitative analysis was also performed through a sentence similarity check software program to examine the distribution of the analysis data. The results of in-depth interviews at the beginning and end of the semester were also synthesized to broaden the understanding of the data. As a result of the analysis, there was no generalized developmental pattern in the source use ability, It was found that all of the study participants had difficulties in using sources in academic writing, and showed several characteristics in the use of sources. First, research participants excessively use paraphrasing among the methods of using academic writing sources. Second, few direct quotation, known as the easiest way to use sources, have appeared. Third, the rate of source integrating was lower than that of direct quotation, and very few were found by some superior learners. Based on the results of the study, it insists on the reinforcement of writing education.
