성육신의 윤리: 디트리히 본회퍼의 성례전적 ‘현실’ 해석에서 그리스도론의 자리 = Toward an Ethics of the Incarnation: Bonhoeffer’s Sacramental Interpretation of the Concept of ‘Reality’

The aim of this article is to explore how the reality of life can interact with the faith in Christ. I take Bonhoeffer’s account of reality on the epistemology of the incarnation as my point of departure. The relationship between the mundane reality and the eschatological reality has been a core theme of Christian ethics. According to Bonhoeffer’s diagnosis, the fundamental cause for the misuse of the metaphor of two kingdoms is to be found in the epistemological error of an awareness of Christ. The concept of ‘one reality’ of Bonhoeffer’s thought provides a new way to recognize the ontological coherence of the twofold reality, that is, the God-world reality in Jesus Christ. In this respect, Bonhoeffer’s concept of ‘one reality’ can be regarded as the hermeneutical reclamation of Luther’s two-kingdom theory. In this process, the theological device of Bonhoeffer to translate the spatial representation of kingdoms into the corporeal representation of ‘the body of Christ’ is conceived. In view of this, I argue that the concept of ‘one reality’ can be a basic idea to develop sacramental foundation for Christian ethics. Finally, based on the explored argumentation, this article puts forward a prospect of the interrelationship between dogmatics, ethics and liturgy on Bonhoeffer’s sacramental interpretation of the concept of reality.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

‘인간의 삶의 현실과 그리스도에 대한 신앙은 어떤 연관 속에 있는가?’ 본 논문은 이 물음을 풀어가기 위해, 성육신의 인식론에 기초해 현실 해석을 전개한 본회퍼의 논의를 다룬다. 세상 현실과 하나님 나라의 종말론적 현실을 동시에 살아가는 그리스도인에게, 이 두 세계에 대한 관계 설정은 언제나 중요한 과제이다. 본회퍼는 루터의 두 왕국론이 특정한 역사적 상황 속에서 이분법적인 현실 인식을 초래하는 표상으로 오용된 근본 원인을 그리스도 인식의 오류에서 발견한다. 그리고 ‘참 하나님이자 참 인간이신 그리스도’ 진술에 근거해, 하나님의 현실과 인간 현실 사이의 존재론적 상관성을 밝히고, 이를 ‘하나의 현실’이라는 개념에 집약한다. 이 과정에서 통합된 현실 인식을 가로막는 영역 표상 대신 그리스도의 몸 표상을 통한 현실 해석을 전개한다. ‘하나의 현실’ 개념은 두 현실의 공존과 결속을 가리키면서 동시에 인간과 세상의 현실 전부가 그리스도의 몸을 통해 하나님에게 용납되고 긍정된 인류의 새 현실을 가리킨다. 하나님과 세상 사이의 화해 발생 근거인 그리스도의 몸 표상을 중심으로 전개되는 ‘하나의 현실’ 개념은, 이런 점에서 ‘성례전적 현실’로 풀이될 수 있고, 그리스도교 윤리의 성례전적 기반을 모색할 수 있는 기초 개념으로 작용할 수 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 내용을 바탕으로 교의와 윤리, 성례의 상호 작용 관계를 밝혀가는 것을 연구 목표로 삼는다.
