Quick service restaurant business is largely dependent on the employee service. Employee training is an essential issue in the food service industry. Given the importance, the purpose of this research is to examine the effect of employee training in the quick service restaurant sector. The objectives of this study are to examine the effect of training on 1) self-efficacy, 2) job satisfaction, and 3) the association of satisfaction and self-efficacy with turnover intention. To capture training, this research adopted three elements (job skills training, job safety training, and training consistency). Using these elements, this study accounted for self-efficacy and employee satisfaction and then researched how self-efficacy and employee satisfaction affect employee turnover intention. Data were collected using Amazon Mechanical Turk. The number of survey participants was 396. The main instrument of this research is survey. For the data analysis, both structural equation modeling and confirmatory factor analysis were performed. The results indicate that training is significantly associated with employee satisfaction and self-efficacy. It indicates that employee training positively affects on the self-efficacy and employee satisfaction. Additionally, the results showed a significant relation between two elements (employee satisfaction and self-efficacy) and turnover intention. That is, satisfaction negatively impacted on employee turnover intention, whereas self-efficacy positively impacted on the employee turnover intention in the quick service restaurant domain.
