대학생의 그릿과 진로정체성의 관계에서 인성함양의 매개효과 = The Mediating Effect of Character Strengths in the Relationship between Grit and Career Identity in University Students

This study investigated the influence of grit and character strengths on university students' career identity, and examined the mediating effect of character strengths in this relationship. A survey was conducted with 400 male and female university students to collect data. The data were analyzed using hierarchical regression analysis, bootstrapping, and Sobel tests. The results of the study are as follows. First, significant positive correlations were found between university students' grit, character strengths, and career identity. Second, grit had a significant direct effect on character strengths and career identity among university students, and character strengths also had a significant direct effect on career identity. Grit was found to indirectly influence career identity through character strengths. Furthermore, character strengths mediated the relationship between grit and the sub-factors of career identity, including affective, cognitive, and behavioral career identity. These findings suggest that character strengths, as a capacity to overcome stress and adversity and adapt flexibly, play an important role in developing students' confidence and suitability in their career choices, along with grit.
