스포츠 행정·경영학의 영역과 역할 = A study on role and province of sports management

국문 초록 (Abstract)

현대 사회가 갖는 큰 특징 중의 하나인 스포츠 대중화는 스포츠의 산업화를 발생시켰고 그러한 산업화 현상은 더욱 더 촉진될 것이다. 스포츠 산업화가 초기 단계에 있으며 급속도로 확산되고 있는 우리 나라에서 스포츠 산업화를 효과적이고 올바른 방향으로 발전할 수 있도록 인도할 수 있는 이론과 구체적인 방법 및 기술을 제공하는 스포츠 행정·경영학의 학문적 체계를 포괄적으로 이해하는 연구를 수행하는 것은 우선적으로 필요하다 할 수 있다. 이러한 필요성에 의해 본 연구는 크게 두 부분으로 구성되어 있다.
첫째, 이론적 고찰을 통하여 스포츠 행정경영학의 역사, 스포츠 행정경영학의 학문적 영역과 그에 대한 연구방법, 스포츠 행정경영학의 정체성 등을 분석하였으며, 둘째 전국 5개 도시의 13개 스포츠 산업체 조사를 통해 스포츠 행정경영의 현장 실태 현황을 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 우리 나라에서 초기단계인 스포츠 행정경영학을 정착시키기 위해서는 스포츠 행정경영학이 ① 스포츠 산업현장이 추구해야 할 비전과 목표를 제시하여야 하며, ② 공공스포츠 정책과 공조직에 대한 연구활동의 필요, ③ 스포츠 산업현장에 대한 리더십 발휘, ④ 효과적이고 질적인 교육프로그램의 제공, ⑤ 공공과의 관계 개선 등을 추구해야 한다는 것을 보여주고 있다.
현장 조사 결과는 스포츠 산업현장의 종업원 중에 15%만이 스포츠 전공자이며 그 중의 단지 1.4%만이 스포츠 산업현장의 경영자 위치에 있는 반면 놀랍게도 82%의 스포츠 산업체가 경영자급의 직원을 채용함에 있어 체육관련학과 출신보다는 경영학과 출신을 선호하고 있음을 보여주고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In modern society, sports have become more deeply and closely related with our human life. As interest in sports has a direct impact on sports industrial growth in this country, a need for development of sports management program has arisen. At this point, it is important to understand sports management systematically and to investigate the acceptance of sports management as professional field since the sports management program is still infancy stage at this country.
The purpose of this study is two - fold: (1) to investigate definition of term of sports management and sports administration, the history of sports management, the province of sorts management, research method of sports management, the role of sports management trough literature: (2) to investigate the attitude toward sports management by evaluating the acceptance of sports management as professional field from professional people in the field of sports industry through a survey.
The 45 subjects of this study were selected from 15 sports center or company located at 5 different major cities and the Mok-Po city in Korea.
The results of this study indicated the five most obvious areas of need for development of sports management in Korea and those were (1) presentation of vision and right goal for sports industry: (2) researching for sports policy of government and sports organization: (3) increasing confidence support for leadership: (4) providing good quality academic program of sports management: and (5) development of public relationship
In addition, the results of survey demonstrated low level acceptance concerning the sports management program as a professional academic field.
In detail, only 15% of professionals of sports industry who participated in this study has majored in sports or physical education and only 1.4% of those 15% professionals is presently working as manager at the sports company. Surprisingly, only 9% of manager of sports companies or centers expressed their support to employ new membwr who has majored in sports as manager for company or center.
