<AbsText> A FEW YEARS AGO the lover of four-in-hand driving at this season look care to make himself acquainted with the various coaches which were to be put on the roads leading in and out of London during the summer season; but to-day the number has almost sunk to zero, for other times other tastes, and the whirr of the motor-car has now more advocates than the old-fashioned tune of the Tantivy trot. In one sense the change is much to be deplored, for the modern revival of stage coaching gave the amateur the opportunity of accustoming himself to the difficult art of four-in-hand driving on every sort of road, and up and down hill, whereas to-day, though the meets of the clubs still take place at the Magazine, and actual road coaching, if moribund, is not yet absolutely dead either in town or country. the pastime is, comparatively speaking, little followed. </AbsText>
