『호남학보』의 이중적 독자 정책과 서사 문예 전략 = A Study on the Dual Reader Policy and Narrative Literary Strategy in the Local Magazine, HONAMHAKBO in the Modern Enlightenment Era

국문 초록 (Abstract)

근대계몽기에는 다양한 지역 학회지가 등장했고, 이러한 지역 학회지는 구한말의 국가의 위기를 바로잡기 위한 방편으로써 다양한 역할들을 감당하고 있었다. 특히 교육과 계몽이라는 각 지역 학회지의 근본적인 목표 아래에서 각 학회지는 그 지역별로 특징적이고 차별적인 구성을 마련하고 있었다. 이 가운데 『호남학보』는 「편차부문」 등을 명확하게 구분하였고, 처음부터 그 표제의 명칭에 맞게 글을 배치하였다. 또 『호남학보』는 다양한 독자층을 대상으로 각 편차부문, 즉 표제들마다 다른 독자전략을 구상하기도 했다. 문체적인 면에서도 구지식인과 유소년층, 여성들을 위한 문체로 나누어 배치하였으며, 각 독자층에 맞게 내용을 구성하기도 했다.
이처럼 『호남학보』는 독자층에 따라 다양한 전략을 펼치고 있었다. 또한 이러한 독자층을 겨냥하면서 다양한 서사적 전략을 활용하기도 했다. 대담을 활용하여 한 인물을 찾아가 인터뷰처럼 그 인물에게 질문하고 답변을 적기도 했으며, <명인언행>에서는 역사 전기물을 짧게 요약하고, 유소년층이 재미있게 읽으면서도 교육적으로도 도움이 되는 일화들을 싣기도 했다. 이렇게 볼 때, 호남 지역을 중심으로 발간된 『호남학보』는 다른 지역 학회지와 동일한 목적의식을 가지고 출판하면서도 잡지 매체로서의 새로운 서사적 전략을 활용하여 근대계몽기의 다양한 서사물의 등장에 동참하고 있었다고 할 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The Local Journal of HONAMHAKBO, which focuses on the province of North and South Jeolla-do in Korea, is published journal in the local academic journals during the modern Enlightenment era. In particular, under the fundamental goal of each local journal of education and enlightenment, each journal had a distinctive and distinctive composition for each region. Among these, HONAMHAKBO had clearly distinguished the titles and arranged the text according to the titles from the beginning. In addition, HONAMHAKBO had devised a different reader strategy for each title for various readers. In terms of style, it was divided into old-fashioned people, youth, and women, and the style and contents were composed to suit each readership.
The Local Journal of HONAMHAKBO, was pursuing various strategies according to its readership. In addition, various narrative strategies were utilized while targeting this readership in the local magazine. Magazine editors had also published a bold form in a local magazine HONAMHAKBO and a historical biography. Using interviews, he visited a person like an interview, asked questions and wrote answers to the person, briefly summarized the historical biography like < Meongineonhang >, and loaded anecdotes that were fun for young people to read and educationally. In this regard, HONAMHAKBO, published in the Honam region, was published with the same objectives as other regional journals. It can be said that the HONAMHAKBO was participating in the emergence of various narratives from the modern enlightenment using a new narrative strategy as a magazine medium.
