This study focuses on the relations between Yul Gok's political thought and the Korean original prototypal idea, "Han(한) " thought. Unfortunately few study on Korean political thought, based on historically consistet original prototypal idea of Korea, has been made until now. For this work, first of all it is required to inquire into what the Korean prototypal idea is. The origin of Korean prototypal idea consists in Chunbu Kyung(天符經), which has been called the national ancestor, Dang gun's words and has been orally handed down. The logical structure of Chunbu Kyung(천부경) consists of Heaven(天), Earth(地), and Man人), three parties of which are fundamental elements of Han(한)". The idea means three and also one(三而一), one also three(一而三), which is not allowed to have any contradictions and opposition whithin three parties. Chuhsi(朱子) said that the Great Ultimate(太極) is like the moon, It is one, But its lights are scattered upon rivers and lakes. Thus the Great Ultimate is both the Sun Total of all principles and principle in its oneness. The material force is the actualizing actor. Things differ because their material endowments are different, and yet things share the same principle. Material forces and principle are never separate. When endowed in man, principle becomes his nature, The standard saying of the Ch'en-Chu School, often called the school of principle is that "Nature is principle". But yul Gok(율곡) asserted that principle and material forces are not only separate, but also one cannot exist without the other, and he represented that, the relations between the two parties are "two and also one(二而一), and one and also two(一而二)" as oneness("Han(한)"). Thus the thought of "Han(한)" has revived again in thousand years in political thought as well as in philosophy through the great statesman, Yul Gok.
