기업가의 실패두려움이 접근동기에 미치는 영향에 대한 탐색적 연구 = Exploratory Study on the Influence of Fear of Entrepreneurial Failure on Approach Motivation

국문 초록 (Abstract)

기업가정신 연구에서 실패두려움은 기업가적 동기(entrepreneurial motivation)의 중요한 요소로 간주된다. 기업 가의 실패두려움은 주로 창업 활동의 장벽으로 간주 되며, 부정적인 측면에 초점을 맞춘 연구가 많았다. 그러나 실패두 려움은 접근동기(approach motivation)와 회피동기(avoidance motivation) 모두를 유발할 수 있으며, 두 가지 측면 모두를 고려해야만 실패두려움의 폭넓은 구성을 이해할 수 있다. 본 연구는 실패두려움이 접근동기에 미치는 과정을 탐색적이고 귀납적인 방법으로 접근했다. 활동하는 22명의 기업가를 인터뷰하여 실패두려움의 구성 요소를 다양하게 분석했으며, 실패두려움의 구성요소는 독립적이지 않으며 상호연결 되어 있음을 확인하였다. 부정적인 정서각성 외에도 긍정적인 정서각성을 확인하였으며, 기업가는 외부 환경의 위협을 경험적으로 인식하는 과정에서 실패두려움을 평가하며 이러한 과정에서 접근동기가 부여되는 것을 확인하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In the field of entrepreneurship research, the fear of failure is widely recognised as a significant component of entrepreneurial motivation. However, this fear of failure can also trigger both approach and avoidance motivation. A comprehensive understanding of the construct of fear of failure necessitates consideration of both of these aspects.This study adopts an exploratory and inductive approach to understanding how fear of failure affects approach motivation. To this end, 22 active entrepreneurs were interviewed, and the various components of fear of failure were analysed. The results of this study confirm that the components of fear of failure are interconnected.
In addition to the identification of negative emotional arousal, the study also identified positive emotional arousal.
It was found that entrepreneurs evaluate fear of failure in the process of empirically recognizing threats from the external environment, and that this process motivates their approach.
