中國 帝都의 御街 計劃 : 宋·元·明·淸 時期의 都城을 중심으로 = The Plan for the Making of Central Boulevard in the Chinese Imperial Capital

The development of techniques for city planning in chinise history gradually led to give importance to the central boulevard in planning up the imperial capital. Begun to be first appeared in the city planning for the capital of wei, the powerful dynasty which occupied the northern part of china during the third century, this kind of trand was perpetuated without major modification by the following dynasties. With the necessity of evoking the sense of mystery to emperor and enhancing the dignity of the royal family, the ruler tried to plan the institutions, like huge grand plaza and boulevard, which drove the city planning to systematize the making of the central boulevard. Placed on and around the central boulevard, in general, were the architectures, such as palace, an altar to the State deities, the ancestral shrine of the royal family, and the administrative office etc.
This paper has three parts. In the first part I clarify the importance of central boulevard in the city planning of imperial capitals. In the second and third part I focus on the comparision of the original features of central boulevard showed from each imperial capitals, lighting as to how the central boulevard has played a part in the imperial capital with the changes of times.
