A rapid simple method for the direct determination of iron in serum is described wherein Ferrozine was employed as the color reagent. Copper, hemoglobin and moderate lipemia did not appear to interfere with the determination. A good correlatlon was obtaihed for serum iron values when proposed direct technique was compared to a conventional method.
