대학생이 지각한 부모양육태도가 심리적 부적응에 미치는 영향: 부정긴급성의 매개효과 = Effect of parenting attitudes perceived by college students on psychological maladjustment: the mediating effect of negative urgency

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Objectives This study was conducted for the purpose of verifying whether negative urgency plays a mediating role in the relationship between parenting attitude and psychological maladjustment in the group of college students.
Methods For this research purpose, data were collected from 254 college students nationwide using the Parenting Behavior Inventory (PBI), the Korean version of the multidimensional Impulsivity Scale (UPPS-P), The Center for Epidemiological Studies-Depression Scale (CES-D), and Beck's Anxiety Inventory (BAI). In addition, in order to confirm the role of negative urgency in the effect of parenting attitudes on psychological maladjustment, a research model was set up that parenting attitudes had a direct and indirect effect on psychological maladjustment.
Frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis were administered and finally, SPSS PROCESS MACRO No. 4 model was applied to verify the mediating effect.
Results The results of this study showed that first, parenting attitude has a significant negative correlation with the negative urgency and psychological maladjustment of college student children. The negative urgency and psychological maladjustment of college student children has a significant positive correlation. Second, their negative urgency have a significant mediating effect on the relationship between parenting attitude and their psychological maladjustment.
Conclusions The conclusions derived based on these results are as follows. At a time when the need for parents' education is emphasized in children's problematic behavior, this study confirmed that the parenting attitude experienced by children can affect their adulthood. This suggests the necessity of establishing a social safety net for not only teenagers but adults. In addition, by identifying that the negative urgency is a predicting variables of psychological maladjustment, it suggested that it is necessary to pay active attention to prevent problematic behavior.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

목적 본 연구는 대학생 집단을 대상으로 부모양육태도와 심리적 부적응의 관계에서 부정긴급성이 매개역할을 하는지를 검증하고자 하는 목적으로 실시되었다.
방법 이러한 연구목적을 위해 전국의 대학생 254명을 대상으로 청소년이 지각한 부모 양육행동 척도(PBI), 한국판 다차원적 충동성척도(UPPS-P), 우울 증상 척도(CES-D), Beck의 불안 척도(BAI)를 이용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 그리고 부모양육태도가 심리적부적응에 미치는 영향에서 부정긴급성이 어떤 역할을 하는지를 확인하기 위해 부모양육태도가 심리적 부적응에 직접효과 및 간접효과를 모두 갖는 연구모형으로 설정하였다. 이를 빈도분석과 신뢰도 분석 및 상관분석, 마지막으로 매개효과를 검증하기 위해 SPSS PROCESS MACRO 4번 모델을 적용하여 분석하였다.
결과 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 부모양육태도는 대학생 자녀의 부정긴급성 및 심리적 부적응과 유의미한 부적 상관관계가 나타났다.
대학생 자녀의 부정긴급성과 심리적 부적응은 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 대학생 자녀의 부정긴급성은 부모양육태도와 대학생 자녀의 심리적 부적응 간의 관계에서 유의한 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
결론 이 같은 결과를 토대로 도출한 결론은 다음과 같다. 자녀의 문제행동에 있어 부모교육의 필요성이 강조되는 시점에서 본 연구를통해 자녀가 경험한 부모양육태도가 성인기까지 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 이는 청소년 뿐 아니라 성인기까지도 사회적 안전망이 갖추어져야 하는 것의 필요성을 시사한다. 또한 부정긴급성이 심리적 부적응의 예측 변인이라는 것을 규명함으로써 문제행동을 예방하기 위해 개인적, 사회적으로 적극적인 관심이 필요함을 시사하였다.
