국문 초록 (Abstract)

오픈 사이언스 문화의 확산과 더불어 데이터 기반 연구개발이 활성화됨에 따라 과학기술 분야에서는 데이터뿐만 아니라 연구에 필요한 소프트웨어, 인프라를 포함한 모든 리소스들을 효율적으로 공유 및 활용하기 위한 연구데이터커먼즈가 주목을 받고 있다. 이러한 연구 환경의 변화에 따라, 국내에서도 연구데이터커먼즈를 도입하기 위한 노력이 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 연구소프트웨어와 인프라의 원활한 공유·활용을 지원하기 위한 국가연구데이터커먼즈(Korea Research Data Commons, KRDC) 체계를 설계하고 다중 KRDC 프레임워크 간 리소스 연계 방안을 제안한다. 제안하는 KRDC 프레임워크는 연구소프트웨어와 분석 환경을 함께 제공하는 개념으로, 연구소프트웨어를 웹에서 효율적으로 상호운용할 수 있도록 지원한다. 본 논문에서는 분산된 KRDC 프레임워크 간 리소스 연계 방안을 설계하고, 통합 사용자 관리 기능과 프록시 기반 작업 실행 방식을 통해 연계를 지원한다. 제안하는 프레임워크를 두 개의 독립된 테스트베드를 대상으로 평가하며, 구현한 기능과 리소스 연계 방법이 유효함을 확인한다. 본 연구는 글로벌 연구데이터커먼즈 개념을 구현한 국내 최초의 사례로, 이러한 연구 결과는 실제 연구 환경에 도입 가능한 오픈 사이언스 개념을 실현하여 연구소프트웨어의 재사용을 활성화하고, 제한된 리소스를 효과적으로 공유·활용하는 데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

With the spread of open science culture and the activation of data-intensive research and development, research data commons are attracting attention in the field of science and technology to efficiently share and utilize all resources, including software and infrastructure required for research, as well as data. In light of these changes in the research environment, efforts are being made to establish research data commons in Korea. In this paper, we design a Korea Research Data Commons (KRDC) framework to support the seamless sharing and utilization of research software and infrastructure. We also propose a resource federation method between multiple KRDC frameworks. The proposed KRDC framework is a concept that integrates research software and an analysis environment, and it supports efficient interoperability of research software on the web. In this paper, we design a resource federation method between distributed multiple KRDC frameworks and support association through an integrated user management function and a proxy-based task execution method. We evaluated the proposed framework on two separate testbeds and confirmed that its functionality and resource federation method are effective. This study represents the first instance of implementing the concept of a global research data commons in Korea. These findings are expected to promote the reuse of research software and the efficient sharing and utilization of limited resources by implementing open science concepts in real research environments.
