포스트모더니즘과 기독교 = Postmodernism and Christianity

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 포스트모더니즘과 기독교에 관한 연구이다. 포스트모더니 즘은 20세기 후반부터 나타난 우리 시대의 정신이며 문화이다. 이러한 포스트모던 사회에서 기독교는 언제나 하나님 말씀을 각 시대의 정신과 문화에 맞게 전달해 온 것처럼 포스트모더니즘의 사고와 문화에 알맞은 복음 선포와 선교 방법을 모색해야 한다. 그것은 포스트모더니즘에 대한 거부와 절충과 도피가 아니라 창조적 적응이어야 한다. 만일 기독교가 역사적 현실을 부정한다면 비역사적인 종교가 되고, 반대로 역사적 현실과 야합한다면 세속화되며, 역사적 현실로부터 도피한다면 현실로부터 고립되기 때문이다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 포스트모더니즘의 주된 특징과 그것에 대한 기독교의 대응을 살펴 본 후에 포스트모더니즘 사회에서 기독교의 과제를 교회의 형태와 구조와 관련해서 서술할 것이다. 그것은 하나님과 인간과 자연이 합일되는 공동체를 회복하고, 탈중심적인 교회제도와 하나님 체험과 영성을 강조하는 기독교를 형성하는 것이다. 기독교는 포스트모더 니즘을 기독교의 위기가 아니라 새로운 가능성으로 활용해야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper aims to study on postmodernism and christianity. Postmodernism is the spirit and culture of our time since the late 20th century. In these postmodern society, Christianity must seek out the Gospel proclamation and the method of missions which appropriate to the thinking and culture of postmodernism as it has always conveyed God s Word in accordance with the spirit and culture of each age. It should be a creative adaptation to postmodernism, not a rejection of it, a compromise with it and a escape from it. If Christianity denies historical reality, it becomes a non-historical religion, on the contrary, it becomes secularized if it compromises with historical reality, and if it flees from historical reality, it is isolated from reality. Thus, after examining the main characteristics of postmodernism and the christian response to it, I will describe in this paper the task of Christianity in postmodern society in relation to the form and structure of the church. It is to restore the community in which God, human being and nature are unified, and form a christian system that emphasizes decentralized church systems and the God experience and spirituality. Christianity should use postmodernism as a new possibility, as not a christian crisis.
