다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Importance of design in NPD (new product development) process has been emphasized over years and widely been acknowledged. Numbers of corporate are changing their NPD process to design leading development process. Also, they understand that design is the core value in product innovation. This study uses the same methodology and framework that Helen Perks, Rachel Cooper, and Cassie Jones have used in their study, but applied to Korean manufacturers The result showed that design is not fully functioning as NPD leaders yet. However, most of them agree that it is important to use design power and NPD core value. Philosophy and thoughts on design management of CEO was the most critical factor to implement design leading NPD process.
