포로기 이후 예후드 사회의 재구성 - 토착 유대인의 관점에서 = Reconstructing Post-Exilic Yehud: An Indigenous Judean Perspective

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 포로기 이후 예후드 사회에 대한 기존 연구들이 주로 포로 귀환자의 ‘회복’ 서사를 중심으로 이루어져, 토착 유대인의 경험을 간과해 왔다는 문제의식에서 출발한다. 귀환자의 관점에서 기록된 성서 본문에서 토착 유대인의 목소리를 침묵시키거나 부정적으로 묘사함으로써, 당시 사회를 입체적으로 이해하는 데 한계를 드러낸다. 이에 본 연구는 성서 텍스트 이면에 내재된 갈등의 맥락을 비판적으로 분석하고, 역사 서술에서 배제된 토착 유대인의 관점에서 포로기 이후 예후드 사회를 재구성하고자 시도한다. 특히 땅 소유권을 둘러싼 갈등, 분리주의 정책에 따른 사회적 소외, 경제적 불평등으로 인한 생활고의 세 가지 주제를 중심으로 예후드 사회 내부의 구조적 긴장과 갈등을 고찰하였다. 이를 통해 ‘회복’의 서사 이면에 감춰진 또 다른 예후드의 현실을 드러내고, 성서에 대한 비판적 읽기의 가능성을 제시하고자 한다.

This study begins with the premise that existing research on post-exilic Yehud has largely focused on the restoration narrative centred on the returnees, thereby overlooking the lived experiences of the indigenous Judeans who remained in the land. Biblical texts, written predominantly from the perspective of the returnees, often silence or negatively portray these indigenous populations, thus hindering a multidimensional understanding of the period. By addressing three central themes - conflicts over land ownership, social exclusion resulting from separatist policies, and economic hardship exacerbated by Persian imperial taxation - this study seeks to illuminate the structural inequalities within Yehud society. Ultimately, it aims to uncover the hidden realities obscured by the dominant restoration discourse and to propose a critical reading that takes seriously the silenced voices within the biblical text.
