    In the advent of the knowlege-driven society, the importance of education is rapidly emphasized. Multimedia instructional contents and the distance learning systems applying information technlogies lead the paradiem shift in education. Since the web authoring tools have been used to create the instructional contents that is the core element in teaching and learning actvities, the compatibility and reusability problems are caused in these contents. Recently the design of instructional contents is changed into the creation of XML-based contents by means of meta-modeling. This paper implements an automatic generation system of XML-based contents for instructional content designer without the expertise in XML. This paper proposes a new method to generate DTD for contents in terms of the information modeling specified by content designer. The implemented system in this paper has the effectivness in the design of XML-based content and so is widely applicable in eduacational fields.
