21세기의 ‘사변적 철학 운동’ 비판

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글은 21세기 유럽 현대철학에서 ‘사변적 전회’ 라는 기치 아래 급속하게 전파되고 있는 ‘사변적 철학 운동’에 대해 마르크스의 ‘실천적 유물론’의 관점에서 비판적으로 성찰하기 위한 것이다. 신세대 철학자들에 의해 전개되고 있는 이 철학 운동은 ‘현대철학의 대전환’으로 보일 수도 있지만, 구체적인 현실과 관련해 보면 철학 내적인 순수 관념 운동이라는 점에서 ‘찻잔 속의 폭풍’이라 할 수 있다. 왜냐 하면 이 운동은 마르크스가 ‘실천적 유물론’의 관점에서 신랄하게 비판했던 독일 철학 안에서 1842-45년에 걸쳐 거세게 일어났던 관념적인 청년헤겔운동과 매우 닮아 있기 때문이다. 당대의 철학은 당대의 현실 안에서 제기되는 삶의 현실적인 문제들에 대한 철학적 개입과 실천적 문제 해결의 관점에서 판단되어야 한다는 점에서 ‘사변적 철학 운동’에 대한 비판적 이해는 우리 시대의 철학 현실과 관련해서도 비판적 문제를 제기할 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article is to critically overview so-called 'the speculative movement of philosophy' being rapidly proliferated under the banner of 'the speculative turn' in the 21st century continental philosophy from the perspective of Marxian 'practical materialism'. Although the speculative movement of philosophy by young generation philosophers looks like 'a great transformation of contemporary philosophy', in reality, in my opinion, this movement could be evaluated just as 'a storm in a teacup' because the movement so much resembles the Young Hegelian Movement in 1842-5 which Marx so severely criticised from the perspective of his own 'practical materialism' at the time. The timeliness of philosophy of the age should be evaluated according to how to practically solving the problems in concrete reality through the practical intervention to the real problems of human living. In this respect our critical understanding of 'the speculative movement of philosophy' could bring some critical viewpoints up for discussing the critical problems of philosophical reality in our age.
