<AbsText> ON Wednesday afternoon last, the annual regatta at Burton-on-Trent took place on the river Trent, under the presidency of the Marquis of Anglesey and a list of most distinguished patrons. Burton has for some years become famous with regard to its aquatic festival, and Wednesday&apos;s sport was no exception to the rule. On the contrary, there were several excellent races during the afternoon, quite eclipsing anything previously seen in the town. Considering the present unsettled state of the weather there was a very large attendance of spectators. </AbsText>
